Grade 4's Visit "The Castle of Good Hope"

At the end of February, in the middle of much scurrying around and plenty of excitement, parents arrived to help lift the Grade 4 Learners to The Castle.

This is a regular Grade 4 event and one that is very much looked forward to.  The weather was lovely - blue sunny skies and relatively wind-free.

They were treated to a tour of Lady Anne Barnards Dining Room with over 100 chairs, of the dungeons where prisoners were locked in the dark and of the 'room with the glass floor!'

They watched a parade of soldiers who set off the canon amidst much pomp and ceremony.  All in all, it was a most enjoyable morning.  Here are a couple of pics that I am sure you will enjoy browsing through.

In ICT we followed this up where each child created a "Newspaper", and they as the journalist, had to write an article on their visit.
